Rush – Niki Lauda’s (Daniel Bruhl) Ferrari ‘Fire’ Racing Suit (C018)

A Ferrari racing suit worn by Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

This Ferrari racing suit was worn by Niki Lauda during the ill-fated race at the Nürburgring where he badly crashed, ultimately costing him the world championship, and nearly his life. Made by OMP, this striking suit is made from fire resistant material.

There are a large number of assorted advertising patches on the suit, including Ferrari, Agip and Goodyear as well as a ‘Niki Lauda’ name patch. There is a handwritten label on the inside of the suit and the accompanying zip-up case reading ‘Daniel Bruhl Niki Lauda Ferrari 1976 “FIRE” ’50’’ and another name tag on the inside of the belt. This fantastic piece remains in excellent production-used condition.

This costume is an original asset used in the production of the 2013 film RUSH. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
